Memories <3

I am actually quite saddened by the fact that today is the last day of blogtember…so much so that I have been looking for blogtober already!!

For my last post (not ever) i am going to share with you something that means an awful lot to me.

This is a ring and chain that my dad used to wear. My mum kept some items for my brothers and I to choose from when we were old enough to appreciate them. I am glad that she did, otherwise we wouldn’t have anything in which to remember him..as I was to young to have any memory’s of him.
My mum made all three of us a small folder of things about my dad, as a little memoir for us all, as we were all quite young when he passed away.
These items sit in a nice little cupboard in my kitchen along with my wedding album.
Love dad, miss him everyday.
And so that is all from me, hope to do another one of these soon I truly enjoyed it.
This is me signing off…

dear facebook friends..

Dear Facebook friends,

1. Please stop the random, sweary posts –
There is no need for it let’s be honest. Do we really need to know about how difficult your drive was to work filled with a bunch of expletives?! Language like that will get you a swift kick with the block button.

2. Old school friends –
Just because I was in the same year as you at school does not mean that you need to add me! Call me irrational if you like but it is very annoying…when I haven’t seen you in 10 years its pretty obvious that I probably don’t remember you.

3. When I send you a message –
Now this really gets my goat…when I send you a message and it is pretty obvious that you have received and read said message, I beg of you to please just have the decency to reply. It doesn’t have to be a lot just a little courtesy.. Manners cost nothing πŸ™‚

4. Picture posts –
Now I am not heartless, but I feel that posting things about poorly children and saying if you don’t hit the like button you are obviously a heartless and awful person is very unnecessary. People that post things saying ‘if this gets a certain amount of likes such and such (insert famous name here) will donate thousands of pounds to the cause’ this again is silly, because I don’t think it is true…sorry!

And that is all for today, load off my chest πŸ™‚

awkward…

So I didn’t quite make a coffee shop today, because living where I do the nearest one is like 20 miles away….I did however make it to my car…whilst waiting for my daughter to finish pre school!!

Now I am pretty sure this doesn’t count as I didn’t have my tablet with me to write my blog.. oopsy!!
So yeah not much else I can say…better luck tomorrow πŸ™‚

Have a good evening πŸ™‚

a bit of a rubbish mess up!!

Write about a time you screwed up –Β

I have spent a large portion of my life trying to avoid making mistakes, so I have struggled to think of anything..but then one thing came to mind.
Now I am sure that I am not the only person to ever have a sneaky party when their parents away…but I may be the only one who caved as soon as they got home and told them what I did!! What can I say..I am not very good at living dangerously πŸ™‚
I felt so bad the whole time that I was literally shaking, terrified mum would call the house, realise what was going on and come home to yell at me!
That is pretty much it…lame?? Yes! But its the best I have πŸ™‚

So today is – review a book, place or product….now I haven’t really been anywhere, and I haven’t got any new products lately….so book it is πŸ™‚
Now I have read a fair few books in my time – being a bit of a book worm…so I may be really greedy and share a 2, if nobody minds πŸ™‚

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte –
now this book is by far on of my favourites, I first read this when I was 11…when everyone else in my year was more interested in PokΓ©mon and trading cards. I could read this book on a daily basis. I think it is one of those books everyone should read… Some people prefer Jane Austen novels but me I am crazy for Bronte!! There are so many moments in the book where I was in tears, it touched me in so many emotional ways it is unreal. The many ways that Jane suffered is enough to make anyone want to give up but she never did I think she is a great example of an early feminist.

The help by Kathryn stockett –
There was a lot of hype about this book so I decided to purchase it and see what the fuss was about. I couldn’t put it down, from the moment I started chapter one I was completely hooked. The funny thing is when I started reading all I could hear was the wonderful southern accent in my head (no I am not crazy). The women in the book draw you in, you feel what they feel you laugh when they laugh, you cry when they do. What gets me the most is that all of it is based on factual events and that these women were treated in such an awful way…it makes it all the more heart rending and saddening. But that being said I loved it πŸ™‚
I am so glad that books exist πŸ™‚
Happy days

nature :)

Yesterday was such a beautiful day that we decided to go for an early evening walk with friends. Being slightly camera I obsessed.. I just had to use the opportunity to get more leaf shots..so here they are. I hope you all like πŸ™‚
