throw’bear’ck Thursday

Whilst tidying the shed today my hubby came across a bin bag full of teddy bears!
I had a bit of a root through and came across a few of my childhood bears…Some memories are quite fun actually!!

The last picture is actually a tiger that I knitted as a school project…can I knit now?! No I can’t!!

There is nothing more fun than a trip down memory lane!
I was one of those girls whose bed was covered in bears!
If I could I would do it now…actually probably not!!

Have a good day everyone 🙂

Its get-to-know-me Tuesday!!
Yes I made it up…I know it doesn’t rhyme but ah well!

I am general home on a daily basis minus my hubby as he is working.
So I do some funny stuff when he isn’t around…boy do I hope he doesn’t read this one!

So what random things do I do?!

I do stretches whilst I wash up sometimes!

Sometimes I just pick up the kids toys and hide them in the corner 🙂 oopsy!!

Here’s one I am sure I am not alone in doing…I sometimes dust around things!!

I like to have a little dance around the house.

Spontaneous singing of kingdom songs! 🙂

I unnecessarily pick up Bella’s toys about 20 times a day only for her to get them straight out again!

I don’t really do much else!! I am not very funny Lol!!

Have a good one 🙂

retro playground fun!

I am aware I used the term retro for the 90’s but ah well!
With my daughter starting school in a few months time, my mind has been wandering to how things were when i was her age.
I was a 90’s school kid and I am pretty sure things have changed!
When I was a kid it was always huge fun to make your friends a friendship bracelet.
There was something about it that made you think…if you gave it to someone then you would be friends forever!

Skipping and hopscotch..loved doing this! Was by far my favourite childhood past time.

Rounders… This was a team game, people liken it to baseball… It is not! You hit a ball, you run around the circle and stop on a base before you get caught out!! Simples!!

Conkers!! Which I hasten to add has been banned from most schools due to the apparent danger of exploding conkers!! Basically you have a conker hanging on a piece of string, and you hit someone else’s conker..trying to break it and win!

Stuck in the mud..tag with a twist, if you were tagged you stand still With your arms and legs apart until someone crawls under your legs and frees you!

Claps… eg a sailor went to sea, sea, sea!

Slaps..this one was not fun after a while…basically you hold your hands out in front of you (palms together) and you and a partner take it in turns to slap each others hands! You can move, if they get you they keep on going until they miss and vice versa!

What’s the time Mr wolf!

Handstands were fun!!

My brain has just run out of memories! Oops!!
I would love to hear from anyone on this subject…
What games did you play in school?!

Happy Monday 🙂

things i have learned from…

…my kids –
They are honest
Tantrumy..its a word!

…the internet
Be careful what you type
What you read
Who you follow
What you download

…the weather
Its irritatingly unpredictable
Mostly wet!

…Child stars
To never allow my children to be one
They remain children forever!

I love to write, even if it is utter nonsense
That sometimes the topics I write about are not interesting.. I need to work on it
You need a niche

It not as bad as people have told me
It is magical
It is exciting

It rains a lot!
We are quite behind the times, with a lot of stuff
Ironically there are more Englishmen leaving here than Welshmen
Countryside is actually enjoyable to live in

Bad men never win
You can do crazy stuff and people will not look at you like you are mental!
Love will always win out
It always rains during a dramatic moment

…the news
Nothing good is ever reported on

pregnancy memory

Whilst I am currently pregnant with baby number 3, I can’t help but recall when I found out I was expecting Bella.

It was January 2010, we were visiting friends in California. It had been 5 months since suffering a miscarriage, and if I am honest I never considered that I could be pregnant.

But we had been there less than a day, and I was starving! I literally stuffed my face with scrambled eggs and toast…then promptly felt nauseous!
It took me a few days before my brain decided hmm perhaps I am pregnant! Problem is I didn’t want to get my hopes up, I never took a test before…

It was an odd day, it was my first time in America so we were visiting Venice beach, Santa Monica and Hollywood. I had been feeling rough most of the day, so on the way back to San Juan Capistrano I decided to pick up a test…it couldn’t hurt right?!

We got back to the house, and I took them both! Both positive!
I was so shocked it didn’t initially sink in, I even called my friend in to double check the test for me!
My poor mum got a phone call off me the next day so that I could get her to book me a doctors appointment for when I returned home!
It all seems such a blur now, but it was just so wonderful. I forever remind Bella about it…so amazing!

It made the holiday all the more magical

Enjoy throwback Thursday.

things i just can’t handle

Alrighty then, Monday list day!
There are a few things that drive me crazy…as in I just can’t stand them!
There are a few obvious ones in there, but I am giving myself 9.
Here goes..

Socks and sandles!! Ugh!
Putting my finger in my eye…or anyone else doing it
Head massagers! They just feel horrid to me!
Liver..cooked..with onions…wrong just wrong!
Nails on a blackboard
People touching my feet..I am ticklish
Spiders..big..small either way, no no!!
When people are sick…the heaving noise is just horrendous!
Here is an obvious one
People who fart in a car. Its just plain mean!

That’s me done for today,
